Abstract

IPAS is knowledge obtained and improved by means of a scientific process. Scientific procedures are formed from scientific behavior in a scientific form consisting of ideas, provisions and concepts that apply globally, therefore science education is related to direct experience  which can provide an overview  of students in order to develop  imagination, creative thinking skills and overall scientific behavior. This research aims to analyze the use, supporting and inhibiting factors of visual media on the creative thinking of class IV students in scien IPAS is knowledge obtained and improved by means of a scientific process. This research aims to analyze the use, supporting and inhibiting factors of visual media on the creative thinking of class IV students in science and science learning at SDN Ciburuy. A descriptive qualitative research method with units of analysis of teachers and class IV students at SDN Ciburuy.  Data collection techniques include interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, conclusions and verification. The results of the research show that the use of visual media in class IV science and science learning at SDN Ciburuy has been effective,  much more interesting and not boring. Students are more active and easily understand science lessons. The use of visual media in the learning process can make a significant contribution to improving the creative thinking abilities of class IV students in science and science learning at SDN Ciburuy. Supporting factors for the use of visual media for students' creative thinking in science and science learning at SDN Ciburuy are that image media is easy to obtain and make, support from the school and efficient costs. The factors inhibiting the use of visual media  for students' creative thinking at Ciburuy Elementary School include incomplete facilities, less durable media and difficulties in conditioning students during the science and science learning process at Ciburuy Elementary School.
