Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of school facilities and infrastructure on students’ learning interest in Islamic Religious Education subjects among eighth-grade students at SMP Al-Wahdah Jawilan. The research uses a quantitative approach with a sample drawn from the entire eighth-grade student population. School facilities and infrastructure (variable X) had a mean score of 59.5 and were found to be normally distributed based on the chi-square test (X² calculated = 22.7 < X² table = 27.72). Students’ learning interest (variable Y) had a mean score of 50.3 and was also normally distributed (X² calculated = 13.2 < X² table = 27.72). The Pearson product-moment correlation analysis yielded a value of r = 0.64, indicating a moderate correlation. The coefficient of determination showed that variable X contributed 40.96% to variable Y, indicating that school facilities and infrastructure have a considerable effect on students’ interest in learning, while the remaining 59.04% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.
