Abstract

The Qur'an is a guide to life for humans. The uneven distribution of the Al-Qur'an Reading and Writing Guidance program in each class is one of the causes of the hampered ability to read the Qur'an in students. One effort to hold the Al-Qur'an Reading and Writing Guidance program in each class is by reading the Qur'an every morning before learning activities begin for ± 30 minutes. This research is quantitative. The purpose of this study was to determine how and the obstacles to the Al-Qur'an Reading and Writing Guidance at SMP Nurul Islah Petir.

The purpose of this study was to determine whether tutoring through the Al-Qur'an Reading and Writing technique is effective in improving tutoring in class VII students of SMP Nurul Islah. The type of research used is a quantitative experimental method with an experimental research design of the one group pre-test post-test design type. The research sample was 22 class VII students of SMP Nurul Islah Petir who had low tutoring. Data collection techniques in this study used questionnaires, interviews, documentation, and observation.

Based on the research results, it shows that the average pre-test score is 47, increasing to 48 in the post-test score. Data analysis using the Wilcoxon signed ranks test with a significance level of 0.05 (5%), obtained a Z value of -838 and asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.042.
